CLASS DESCRIPTION:A fun taster acting classes for beginners to the acting technique we teach, BEAT.
WHAT IS BEAT?
BEAT stands for Beck Emotional Access Technique and is the acting method we teach at our academy.
BEAT was developed by the studio’s founder and director. It is a practical and safe approach for accessing emotion and getting into the behaviour of other characters. The technique allows you to play characters who behave differently to you and who experience the world differently from you.
What will I do in the classes?
The classes are a perfect taster session for our courses. You will be introduced to practical exercises. The exercise will help you unlock your potential by working on actions and behaviour in a practical and dynamic way.
At the beginning of the session, the teacher will spend time introducing to the foundations of our acting technique and then you will take part in exercise that help you find different characters in you.
The taster classes operate on an open basis. Students at all levels are welcome to join. If you are an experienced actor but have never studied BEAT before and would like to, these classes are the best place to start.If you are an absolute beginner, and you have never acted, this is the class for you!
