About this event

Travel & Outdoor • Travel

The Biscay coast of France offers superb cruising, with peaceful anchorages, charming islands, beautiful beaches, and the rare chance to moor right in the heart of historic towns like Vannes, La Rochelle, and Saint-Martin-de-Ré.

Beginning in Biscay is the ideal introduction to sailing south of the Chenal du Four. Whether you’re planning to return to your home port, explore the region at a leisurely pace, or continue onward toward the Mediterranean, this seminar will equip you with the essential knowledge to make the most of your voyage.

The event will highlight the key resources available for cruise planning, and our presenters—along with the Biscay section secretaries—will be on hand to answer your questions throughout the session.

  • The French Atlantic Coast by Nick Chavasse, author of The Atlantic France Pilot Guide
  • Keeping your boat in Atlantic France by Paul Bragg
  • Discovering the delights of Biscay - a summers cruise to Western France by Nick and Alison Boxall
  • The best Apps and information sources for cruising Biscay by Nick Sexton.

A more detailed agenda for the day can be downloaded from the link below.
