This essential CPD session delves into the critical role of animal behaviour in preventing escalation during veterinary care and handling.

This session will explore how animals express fear, pain, and stress in clinical and practical settings. You’ll gain insights into the subtle and overt behavioural cues that indicate emotional distress, and how these signals can vary across species and individuals.

Light refreshments will be available.  

The session will be taught by  Debbie Busby BSc MSc MBACP GMBPsS CEBC ABTC-CAB CCAB  (pictured below) a Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourist specialising in equine and canine behaviour, a registered psychotherapist and author. With a background in both animal behaviour science and human psychology, Debbie integrates evidence-based practice with a relational approach focused on the wellbeing of both animals and humans
