Overview

Workshop focusing on how behaviour IS communication, identifying triggers & communicative functions for professionals working with children.

This face to face session will be delivered by CCICP East Locality Specialist Speech and Language Therapists and will include a presentation and opportunities for feedback and discussion. The session will focus on how behaviour IS communication and how to identify the triggers and communicative functions leading to distressing behaviours.

This training is exclusively for professionals working with children within the Cheshire region; Education Staff, Health Care Professionals and Cheshire East Local Authority (such as Key Workers and Social Workers). Please note that when booking a place you will be asked your name, role and place of work to ensure that we are delievering the training to our target audience. Please use your work email when booking a place (where possible).

Eligibility:

  • you support a child/children with distressing behaviours
  • you have been directed to attend this course by a Speech and Language Thearipst
  • you work with children within the Cheshire region as an Education Staff, Helath Care Professional or for the Cheshire East Local Authority
