About this event

Intended audience:

Teachers, support staff, pastoral support staff, anyone working within a student-facing role in schools.

Behaviour Support Workshops:

This in-person one day training course will provide a comprehensive set of workshops designed to equip colleagues with both the knowledge and skills to effectively support and deal with behaviour in schools. The course will cover the following key themes in a practical, theoretical and discussion-based format.

Section 1: Building and Sustaining Successful Relationships

  • How to form an initial relationship and rebuild a broken relationship
  • The importance of investing in social capital

Section 2: Zones of Regulation

  • Exploring emotional vocabulary and how to support students who are dysregulated

Section 3: Restorative Practice

  • Restorative language and questions
  • Affective statements
  • Managing difficult conversations

Section 4: Therapeutic Thinking

  • Adverse Childhood Experience (ACEs)
  • Thinking Models
  • Therapeutic Language and being trauma informed

Details about the presenter:

Charlotte is currently Assistant Headteacher at Cranbury College, a Pupil Referral Unit and Alternative Provision in Reading. She is responsible for Behaviour, DSL and Personal Development with 15 years’ experience in mainstream Secondary environments.

Payment

Payment is required at the time of booking by credit card, debit card or Paypal. Unless otherwise stated, a ticket gives admission to one person at face-to-face and online events. If you arrive at the event without a ticket, you will be required to book and pay for your place on Eventbrite again at the venue.

Refunds

Tickets are not transferable or refundable.

In the event of a refund request due to exceptional circumstances, please note that the Eventbrite booking fee of 6.95% plus 0.59p per ticket is not refundable.

To keep our event fees as low as possible, we are not able to issue invoices for payment by cheque or bank transfer and we are not able to reserve places without payment.

We strongly recommend that you take out 'event ticket insurance' which may cover the cost of your fee should you be unable to attend the event.

Please note professional photography may take place. Content will be shared by ourselves for marketing purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let us know on the day of the event.
