Description

DESCRIPTION

Need a mentor to help get you organised in the classroom? From pencil to pen-pot, blackboard to paper, Opogo has your essential toolkit!

Whilst there's no "one-size fits all" approach to teaching and managing your classroom, a system of organisation for materials, students and classroom work can save you from the embarrasment of complete trial and error. Being a teacher is more than just providing children with the education for their futures, it's about developing and managing your environment to provide quality learning.

Opogo have teamed up with community expert and editorial advisory board lead, Jane Wood-Chambers to present to you how to implement a system of organisation to help run and manage your classroom. This seminar, run at Opogo's head office at WeWork Bishopsgate, will walk you through the strategies of overcoming disorder in the classroom. At this Seminar, Jane will reveal her own personal tips and advice for keeping things in order so that your classroom can practically run itself in preparation for your absense.

What will be covered?

  • The essential questions to assess when developing a system of classroom order
  • Top tips for learning classroom names and access to school materials
  • Building your skills for future occurences - e.g. ensuring resources are labelled
  • Learning to set the classroom scene for seating orders, placement and best learning practise
  • How to command a room and start the education party
  • How to form relationships with your class and existing teaching colleagues
  • Ensure the smooth running of a typical teaching day with clear markers of expectation and organisation
