How Women Have Helped to Shape the City
The Fawcett Society present a discussion exploring the incredible women who have helped to shape the City of London over the course of its history.
Chaired by Sam Smethers, Chief Executive of The Fawcett Society, this event will look to cover areas such as the underrepresentation of women in London’s history as well as the changing role of women as the City has evolved around them. Guests include Sharon Ament, Director of the Museum of London and Jeannette Arnold OBE, Deputy Chair of the London Assembly.
Behind Every Great City is part of The City of London's Women: Work & Power festival. A programme packed full of events and activities that lament, or celebrate the unsung women that have shaped our history and helped define our national identity.
