Edward Troup, HMRC Tax Assurance Commissioner is coming to the University of Manchester to deliver a guest lecture about his senior role and the challenges faced when financing a country.
Edward is a qualified solicitor with experience gained in the private sector at Simmons and Simmons, and as an advisor to the Chancellor of the Exchequer and latterly as a Director General in HM Treasury.
During his presentation, Edward will cover a number of areas including:
- Challenges facing the UK's economy
- The role of the Civil Service in this
- Changes we've seen over the recent years
- Edward's role in HMRC
- Ways of working for the Civil Service, including the Fast Stream Programme
Following Edward's presentation, you will have an opportunity to network with him and other colleagues from the Civil Service about the various opportunities that they have across their departments.
