Behind The Scenes Tour of Castle Fraser

Our behind the scenes tours are back again this year! We will uncover the Castle's secret spaces and items of collection that are not normally on display to the public. We'll be opening up the secret trapdoors and cupboards as well showcasing some of our lesser known items of collection. Discover how we look after the castle over winter and the ongoing conservation work to look after the collection. The tour will include the top of the tower if weather conditions allow.

P lease note, this tour covers 6 floors of the castle using steep spiral staircases. Sturdy flat footwear is recommended.

Recommended for adults only, this tour is not suitable for young children. Please see our Family Friendly Behind the Scenes tours for a shorter version suitable for children.

The shop and tearoom will also be open on tour days. A selection of hot drinks, lunches and homemade cakes will be available 10.30 - 4pm.
