Behind the Seams: Industry Talk
Sina Steidinger is a seasoned denim designer, sustainability manager in textiles, and consultant based in Amsterdam. With a Diploma in Fashion Design and formal training in Sustainability Management in Textiles, Sina combines creative design sensibility with deep knowledge of sustainable and circular practices.
Over more than ten years in the denim sector, she has worked on all stages of design and production — from fabric and wash development to pattern fitting, trend and target group research, trims, and technical stylesheets.
Sina is particularly committed to embedding circularity into denim design: she leads workshops, lectures, and consulting projects to help brands and students understand how to minimize environmental impact in fabric choice, supply chains, and every design decision. Her “Project 530” initiative reflects this mission — a platform for awareness-raising, strategy, and practical solutions in sustainable textile design.
