Being a Befriender is a free online event for people volunteering in befriending projects.
This event brings together befrienders to meet others in similar roles and access peer support, while learning and recognising their contribution and impact. Join us as we celebrate Befriending Week, the national campaign celebrating and raising awareness of befriending and the positive impact it has on individuals and communities.
Working full time, I don’t get a chance to meet other volunteers and get inspiration/share ideas etc. [Being a Befriender] was a nice mix of facts, story sharing (anonymously) and also interesting to see how other volunteering charities operate and structure themselves. They also gave a great resource at the end.
