About this event

- Monday 16 May; 6 - 8 pm
- Monday 23 May; 6 - 8 pm
New Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL’s) are required to undertake induction training on safeguarding expectations and processes before they take up this role.
It is vitally important that DSLs know and understand local (i.e. Derbyshire) procedures.
This virtual, 2-part training will be delivered via Microsoft Teams and will support you to:
- become familiar with statutory and non-statutory guidance to safeguard and promote the welfare of every child
- know about local organisations and agencies to help safeguard and promote the welfare of every child
- introduce the roles & responsibilities of the DSL
- assist you in creating a DSL Toolkit
This training is delivered over two sessions each lasting 2 hours. There will be a practical course task to complete between the two sessions.
N.B. This training is for Derbyshire Practitioners only
