Overview

A workshop on being a 'Detective Parent' and how you can advocate for your child

Join this workshop to discover how you can best advocate for your autistic child in being a 'detective parent'. Alongside Leesh's book series of "Detective Parent/Carers", this workshop is designed to empower parents and carers with practical tools, checklists, and expert guidance to effectively document and present crucial evidence for their child's autism journey.

This session is 60 minutes in length with the opportunity for questions and answers. It will be held online via Zoom.

About Leesh...

Liesje (lovingly known as Leesh) is a Mother, Advocate, and Survivor. She is blessed with four beautiful Children, three of whom are Autistic, and her life is driven by the deep love I have for them, her faith in God, and the unwavering support of her partner.

In 2014, Leesh founded Sparkle Sheffield, a charity born out of her own experiences as a Mother of Autistic Children. What started as a small initiative has grown into an award-winning charity that received the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service on June 2, 2022—just before the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This recognition is a reminder of the power of community and the impact that love, compassion, and understanding can have on the world.
