Join Daisy Shearer, Outreach and Engagement Officer at the National Quantum Computing Centre, for a masterclass in navigating the world of STEM with neurodiversity. During the session Daisy will talk about their career path in STEM as well as their experience being diagnosed with autism. Daisy will highlight strengths and challenges of neurodiversity and offer useful tips and advice. This workshop is relevant for neurodivergent students and also those who are interested in hearing from a successful STEM professional who is neurodiverse.


Daisy Shearer is the Quantum Computing Outreach and Education Lead at the National Quantum Computing Centre. With a background in experimental condensed matter physics, Daisy combines a deep technical knowledge of quantum technology with a passion for teaching and public engagement to translate quantum computing concepts for a variety of audiences. They are a passionate science communicator and educator with a drive to make STEM more accessible and inclusive, particularly for disabled and neurodivergent people, informed by their lived experience as an autistic person in STEM.
