Being Yourself
Event Information
About this Event
The design of man was to be creative, to find enjoyment in his work, to be the provider and protector over his family, the voice of reason, all contained in this one magnificent human being.
In the past 50 years, however, the traditional role of a man is being increasingly challenged, with women taking on more demanding roles and becoming their own providers. So being yourself has changed and how does a man navigate his new identity in this ever-changing society.
Men are now also wanting to have it all. They want the traditional role but also want to be the doting father and the attentive partner, but they are still acutely aware in their belief system, that it is their ultimate responsibility to be the breadwinner.
So, what does it mean today to be a man and how does one manage the everyday pressure, when the body is saying one thing and the mind is drawing you in another direction? And what unseen toll does this have on the man straddling the need to feel honoured and valued, but also the need to be himself.
This 3-day event is being run by men for men. Men who have come through their own journey. With many years of both life and professional experiences, this team of men have a wealth of knowledge, and gems of wisdom that will show men how the yoke of their responsibilities can become easier and their burdens light.
Day 1 – How the body keeps the score Day 2 – The mind and mental health Day 3 – The Power of fulfilling your dreams

Why is this an area of interest to me as a woman? I am a qualified counsellor, trainer facilitator and now life coach. I have worked for the past nineteen years supporting men and women who have experienced domestic abuse, trauma and everyday life issues. What I have observed is that men will move forward and make informed choices once they have the right tools. However, there are only a few forums where men can access this material. Putting on this event with these wonderful men I have onboard, I see them as being part of the solution to addressing this need and giving men the same support platforms as women.
On the day of the event bring your pens and notepads to take part in the reflected work and begin to see how much knowledge and wisdom you can access right away.
If you cannot locate your ticket look in your junk mail as it can often appear there.
The team look forward to welcoming you on our first 3 -day male event.
