Summary of the event: BEIS is hosting a webinar on focusing on New Approach goods, which were previously covered by the CE marking.
About this event
The UK has left the EU, and the transition period came to an end on 31 December 2020. Join us at the next BEIS webinar to understand what actions will need to take place for businesses to get ready for the new rules.
As of 1st January 2021, the UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) mark became the new UK product marking for goods being placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland), with the CE mark (together with UKNI mark) applicable to Northern Ireland.
BEIS will host a webinar on Tuesday 20th July to focusing on New Approach goods, which were previously covered by the CE marking. We will cover the existing transitional measures and key actions businesses need to take now.
The webinar will be organised by the BEIS Goods regulation Team and in addition to covering the above, we will also cover:
- Construction Products Regulation (Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government) .
- Designated standards (Office for Product Safety and Standards).
