Once upon a time when shooting stars were unexplainable and misunderstood they were often referred to as being a beautiful "Queer" light in the night sky fleeting. This should not be forgotten and although in the dictionary the word "Queer" can mean strange or misunderstood it is also a positive word meaning extraordinary, remarkable, happy and alternative.
Taking place in Titanic Suite where the Replica Staircase from the actual Titanic Ship is situated we will welcome our very special guest on this night all the way from London the World Award winning body painter and Hollywood (In America) Blockbuster artist Victoria Gugenheim. BAFW cant think of any better way to put the icing on the cake than finishing our evening off with Irelands number one Nirvana Tribute The Negative Creeps as they intend to play their Nevermind Tour set list.
Like the shooting stars Nirvana were, they burned extremely brightly and vanished in a flash emblazing an unforgettable legacy into the conciousness of three generations in a matter of a few years. So what better choice than to have such a broadly and highly loved alternative band play at Belfast Alternative Fashion Week.
With the help of some good TITANIC QUEER folk we will celebrate in alternative style with some the best of the queerness this city and world has to offer.
