Tomás Irish (Swansea University): The Relief of Belgian Scholars during the First World War

Dr. Irish received his PhD from Trinity College Dublin and is currently a lecturer in modern history at Swansea Univeristy.

Elisabeth Piller (University of Trondheim): ‘Poor Little Belgium’ and the Greater War. An International History of the American Commission for Relief in Belgium, 1914 – 1925

Dr. Piller received her PhD from the Department of Historical Studies at Norweigen University of Science and Technology (NTNU). She is a lecturer in cultural studies in the department of language and literature at NTNU.
