Description

A day for bellydance teachers to get to know each other and develop their business.

10am-12: A talk on marketing for bellydance teachers with Dorte Evelyn (Ishtar)

12-1pm: Lunch with time to get to know each Other and make connections with other teachers

1pm-3pm: Dance workshop with Hilde Cannoodt on Unleashing Creativity for teachers of all styles of bellydance.

About Dorte Evelyn

Dorte Evelyn, also known as Ishtar Dance, is an accredited international dancer with more than 2 decades of professional experience. She is a founding member of the Aarhus Oriental Dance Society (Denmark), and having studied dance on three continents she is now based in Surrey.

She’s a JWAAD Master Teacher and Mentor and runs regular classes in Surrey and Berkshire, as well as workshops and talks nationwide.

As a trained journalist, Dorte has worked for the BBC and CNN, a wide range of print publications, and in recent years as a Marketing Consultant in the Third Sector.

She has produced a range of dance technique videos, blog articles and recently set up the Bellydance Mastermind Network on Facebook, aimed at supporting dancers with everything from Marketing to Teaching.

About Hilde Cannoodt - BA(Hons)

Dance Artist | Choreologist | Teacher | Choreographer

Hilde is a dynamic dance specialist renowned for her expertise in fusion dance disciplines. With 15 years of professional experience as a performer and dance instructor, Hilde is a highly skilled and passionate dance practitioner. She has a diploma in Dance Studies at Laban school of dance and has a degree in Dance and Visual arts at Brighton University. She also specialised in Choreology at Laban which focuses on movement analysis.

Specialist skills include Choreological Practice, Belly Dance technique, Contemporary Dance Technique, Choreographic Practice and Dance Teaching, with a focus on the integration and application of dance theory within her practice.

Her dance training includes Hip Hop, Locking, Popping, Tribal Fusion, ATS, Contemporary Dance, West African Dance, Classical Indian Dance, Egyptian Dance, Rwandan Dance, Ballet and Jazz.

Hilde has taught and performed worldwide and has collaborated with many well known dancers and choreographers, such as Tjarda Van Straten, Violet Scrap and Donna Meija.

Hilde is founder of Tribal Remix, an annual dance festival in Brighton.
