It is estimated that more than one and a half million women in the UK are living with the painful condition of endometriosis, and yet it is quite common for it to take up to ten years to be diagnosed and then treated. We would like to talk about this because we know that good health care starts with awareness and conversation.
Southmead Development Trust and Bristol Health Partners invite you to watch the documentray film Below the Belt - about the impact of endometriosis. This event is for anyone interested in endometriosis, including those with lived experience, clinicians, and family members.
We hope the film will spark conversations and ideas. Afterwards there will be a discussion with an informal panel made up of those living with endometriosis, consultants in women’s health, and researchers.
Southmead Development Trust is a community anchor organisation in North Bristol. Our role is to bring different types of people together to have conversations about topics that are important to them.
Bristol Health Partners is an organisation which supports collaboration between health services, universities, care providers, and decision-makers.
We hope you can join us. There will be refreshments provided.
