SheWanders Hike: Ben Lawers Range – Triple Munro Day

📍 Meeting Point: Ben Lawers Car Park📅 Date: Sunday, 28th September🕗 Time: 8:30am meet-up, walk begins at 8:45 am sharp - Please don't be late as we will need to set off without latecomers.

About this hike

We’re heading to the beautiful Ben Lawers range for a big day in the hills, aiming to summit three Munros in one go:

  • Beinn Ghlas (1,103m)
  • Ben Lawers (1,214m) – the highest mountain in the southern Highlands
  • An Stùc (1,118m)

This is one of the most rewarding routes in the Highlands, offering panoramic views over Loch Tay and the surrounding peaks. It’s a fantastic way to experience the drama of the Scottish mountains while ticking off multiple Munros in one adventure.

📍 Route details can be found here via AllTrails: Ben Lawers – An Stuc

Key info

  • Distance: ~11.5 miles / 18.5 km
  • Ascent: ~1,450m
  • Duration: 7–8 hours (depending on pace and breaks)We often split up into multiple pacing groups so don't worry about falling behind!
  • Difficulty: Challenging – suitable for hikers with good fitness and hillwalking experience

What to bring

  • Waterproof jacket and multiple layers (Scottish weather is unpredictable!)
  • Sturdy hiking boots
  • Packed lunch and plenty of snacks
  • At least 2 litres of water

Important notes

  • This is a long, challenging hike with steep ascents and descents. Please only sign up if you’re confident in your fitness and prepared for a full day on the hills.
  • As always, SheWanders is a supportive, women-only hiking community – no one gets left behind. We’ll go at a steady, sociable pace and enjoy the journey as much as the summits.
  • Dogs are welcome if they’re fit for a full day on the hill! Dog owners will be fully responsible for their four-legged companions, and we ask that you be considerate if there are members of the group who aren't comfortable with dogs off-lead.

🎟 Tickets are £5 per person (excluding fees).

We’ve had to introduce ticketed events because of both admin costs and the admin time that goes into organising SheWanders walks. We’ve also seen a lot of people booking far in advance and then not showing up on the day. Because spaces are so limited, this new policy helps keep things fair for everyone who really wants to join.

Refunds will be allowed up until 7 days before the event. After that, tickets are non-refundable.

We’ve kept the cost as low as possible and are mindful that our walks should always remain affordable and accessible for everyone. 💚

Thank you for understanding!
