For centuries, Indian master weavers have created ethereal penmanship from secret lanes beyond the banks of the sacred Ganges. Warp ‘n’ Weft has promoted and endorsed the marriage of the traditional Benarasi Handloom with modern sensibilities for the past two decades. Through this they have established an aesthetic which resonate Indian women across generations. Now, this studio brings this aesthetic to Britain with a collection of hand crafted treasures. Sagrika Rai presents a collection of textiles from the ‘Benarasi Gharana’ which exudes the timeless mystique of the temples and ghats of this ancient city. These master weaves are complemented by ethnic Jadau jewelry of the signature Varanasi style curated by Rai in collaboration with Jaipur Gems.
