Event description

Description

Pressures on public sector budgets mean that commissioners need to find alternative ways to meet the needs of communities. Social Value has the potential to help alleviate some of those pressures and provide real support to population health services.

The Academy of Public Health and The Social Value Portal are very pleased to invite you to join them for a development day to support, encourage and enhance the use of social value in commissioning and procurement.

This invitation is open to anyone who works primarily in a commissioning role closely linked to population health and prevention in publicly funded organisations within London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. Interested persons outside of these roles or geography should contact us prior to booking.

On the day, training, discussion and newly launched tools will aim to help you embed and mainstream the use of public health focussed social value in your organisation, thus supporting the public health system to meet its priorities by optimising existing resources and capacity.

NB: Event is free to attend however a £75 charge is applicable for non attendance without prior notice and will be invoiced to the non attending person's organisation. This is to ensure our valuable and limited spaces are filled on the day. No charge applies if notice of non attendance is given prior to the event, and spaces are fully transferable to colleagues in similar roles at no cost.
