Join us for two FREE workshops introducing the Bensham Bites community food, nature and art project. These workshops are for Gateshead residents, and are an opportunity to find out about Bensham Bites and how you can get involved with us to work towards developing a community food network. We have recently obtained funding from NLCF Award for All to continue Bensham Bites over the next two years and there will be opportunities to develop the project with us over this time .
28 September, 9.30-12 noon,
How can art help us join the spaces between pollinators, people and plates ? Join artist/beekeeper Barbara Keating for a playful, but very practical look at food preservation techniques such as dehydration, pickling and fermenting, as an artistic and community activity.
5 October, 9.30-12noon
Join Herb Hub to explore how you can enhance the flavour of your food using locally grown herbs which also benefit our health and wellbeing. We will be creating herbal products to take home, with recipes to share with your organisation
