About this Event

Bentwood Chair-making Workshop | Friday 14th & Saturday 15th February 2020 10am – 4pm

One of our most popular workshops we host here at Rural Antics, our exceptionally talented tutor will guide you through step by step to make your own beautiful bentwood chair in this two-day workshop. Introducing you to the tools and techniques required for this traditional woodcraft, you will work alongside a small group while your tutor demonstrates how to hand-craft hazel, bend and cut it to form a stunning garden seat.

All materials will be provided and the workshop includes a two-course homemade lunch served with local wine. At the end of the two days you will have created your own bentwood chair to take home with you. Alternatively, we can arrange to deliver your chair locally if transport is a problem.

Your tutor, Martin Rollins is an expert in teaching bush craft skills.

This workshop is a relaxing opportunity to get away from it all and do something different in the beautiful country side.

“Making something like this, something simple yet challenging, practical yet pleasing, feels good for the soul”

To ensure the quality of your personal experience, the group size will be limited to 6 people.
