Overview
Experiencing the death of a client or colleague can deeply impact both individuals and teams. In many care settings loss may be a familiar yet challenging part of the work. This course provides a compassionate and practical space to explore how we respond to and process bereavement in professional settings.

What You’ll Learn
Participants will gain insight into:

  • Personal and organisational responses to grief
  • Key principles of palliative care
  • The role and structure of effective debriefs
  • How to sensitively communicate with someone who has been bereaved
  • Tools and resources for coping with loss

Please be aware the contents of this session will deal with sensitive and challenging subject matter. Participants are encouraged to take care of their wellbeing and step away at any time during the session if needed. We also advise to have someone, whether a colleague or someone from your personal life, to debrief with after the session should the need arise.

Who Should Attend
We offer this session exclusively to UK-based frontline workers in the homelessness sector.

If you fall outside of these criteria unfortunately, we will not be able to offer you a space on this session.

Please note we reserve the right to cap attendees from a single organisation to two people per session. If for one session we receive more than 2 registrations from individuals at the same organisation, we may return your registration.
