About this event
A Berkshire Junior Chess Association Open Event - Chess Tournament.
The Tournament
- Is open to all regardless of home location
- Is for junior chess players who are younger than 18 on 31-Aug-25 (not just Under 11 players 🙂)
- Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at the event
- Sections will be determined by entries
Entry
Tournament entry fee: £11.50 - available to 22.00 on Friday 19-Sep-25
- Late entry: +£5 - available to 19.00 on Saturday 20-Sep-25
Results will be submitted for ECF rating
- Non-ECF members: +£3
- Minimum Junior Gold membership required to avoid this additional fee
Photography
- No photography is permitted within the playing area during play
- Any photos taken are for private use only and not to be shared on any social media platform

Tournament(s) consists of 6 rounds
Each game will use Fischer timing
- Start with 10 minutes + 5 seconds per move

There is a Co-op convenience store and Londis located on the Finchampstead Road next to the school
Tea, coffee and hot chocolate will be available free of charge. Snacks can be purchased from the local shops.

Signs in the car park next to the school will guide you onto the school site
Please make sure you arrive by 13.30 as late arrives are very disruptive
Please use the the sign-in sheet at the school entrance to show that you have arrived
