Bervie Brow Bunker - Aberdeenshire Doors Open Days 2025

Hidden beneath a dramatic coastal promontory, this remarkable underground bunker at the former RAF Inverbervie was built in the 1950s as part of the ROTOR radar defence programme. Later used by the US Navy and British Army, it is now being restored and reimagined. A powerful example of mid-20th-century defensive architecture, the site reflects Cold War geopolitics and technological urgency. Once top secret, the bunker’s heavy blast doors now open for an atmospheric journey into the past. Guided tours will explore the site’s architecture and design.
