Event description

Description

This year we have a fantastic line-up of keynote speakers with expertise across and beyond aquatic realms. These include: Mary O'Connor (University of British Columbia), Anne Magurran (University of St. Andrews), Silvana Birchenough (Cefas), Lloyd Peck (British Antarctic Survey), China Hanson (Queen Mary University of London), Dean Jacobsen (University of Copenhagen), Anita Narwani (Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology), Julia Reiss (University of Roehampton) and the winner of the inaugural BESAG Early Career Researcher Award (TBA).

World-leading aquatic ecologists will discuss their recent findings and priorities for future research, which will, as always, spark interesting discussions. Students and early-career researchers (ECRs) are encouraged to present posters and give a ‘lightening talk’ during the meeting. ECRs interested in contributing should email Lydia White (lwhite18@qub.ac.uk) by Friday 1st of September 2017 with the title and the names and institutions of the contributing authors (space is limited and will be given on a first-come, first-served basis).
