Best of U Law Tour - Toronto, Toronto French School
Tue 7 March 2017, 18:00 – 20:30 EST
We are delighted to invite those students who are interested in studying Law in the UK to our Best of U Law tour on Tuesday 7th March at Toronto French School, Toronto. This truly is a unique event which gives students access to 4 top academics in the field of Law from each of our world-leading, Russell Group institutions.
If you are interested in studying Law, the UK is an exciting opportunity as you can begin your Law degree directly from High school, and achieve your LLB qualification in 3 years!
Our event will be interactive and will be an authentic taster of what to expect when studying Law in the UK. Not only will you witness a debate between top academics on a prevalent topic in Law right now, but you will have the opportunity to get involved yourself, ask questions, challenge arguments - the very skills that you will be exercising on a daily basis when studying Law at a British university.
Following the event you will have the opportunity to meet with the Best of U representatives along with our Lecturers and Professors in a mini-fair format.
Please find below details of each of the academics who will be leading this event:
• Mr Andrew Charlesworth, Reader in IT and Law (University of Bristol)
• Dr Se-shauna Wheatle, Lecturer in Law (Durham University)
• Dr Joshua Jowitt, Teaching Fellow (Newcastle University)
• Prof. Hazel Biggs, Professor of Healthcare Law (University of Southampton)
A Representative from the University of York's International Office will also be in attendance to answer questions about their Law programmes.
The event will run as follows:
6:00pm: Guest arrival
6:30pm: Law debate
7:30pm: Mini College fair: An opportunity to chat with Law academics and university representatives individually and ask questions
