Description

With great pleasure Mira, Arne and Helen invite you to the third Joint Faculty Best Practice Sharing Session, this time on the theme of Digital Education.

Participants will hear 5 minute 'lightning' presentations of case studies from colleagues, followed by a 'World Cafe' session which will provide an opportunity to circulate among those colleagues to find out more.


The presenters:

Mark Lake (Senior Lecturer, Archaeology) on student blogging;

Riitta Valijarvi (Senior Teaching Fellow, Finnish) on students editing Wikipedia;

Jakob Stougaard-Nielsen (Senior Lecturer, SELCS) on students producing digital objects;

Jacky Derrick (Deputy Module Convenor, History) on student groups producing web sites;

Nick Grindle and Jesper Hansen (Senior Teaching Fellows, Arena Centre) on peer feedback via Moodle;

Maria Sibiryakova (Senior Teaching Fellow, Russian) on multimedia feedback on students' assessments;

Jonathan Holmes (Professor of Physical Geography) and Nick Mann (Learning Resources Coordinator, Geography) on designing digital multiple choice exams;

A contribution on meeting the UCL E-Learning Baseline.

Mid-morning refreshments will be provided.
