Come with us on a lively tour into the West Country visiting some of our favourite local organic suppliers.
We kick-start the day with a visit to Hobbs House Bakery where we will be welcomed by fifth generation baker, and Operations Director, Tom Herbert. He’ll guide us through the story of their organic bread, complete with cookery demo and the opportunity to ask your baking questions. Then, whilst enjoying a light lunch with the delicious freshly baked bread, you’ll be given a taste of what’s to come next…
Heading to Park Farm in Bath, we’ll meet the owners at The Bath Soft Cheese Company. In a behind-the-scenes tour of their organic farm, we’ll discover the milking parlour, make room and ripening rooms; later being able to taste some of their award-winning cheese.
We move on once more to Chew Magna, visiting The Community Farm – where most of the fresh organic produce you pop in your basket comes from. We’ll tour the fields, looking at their organic farming techniques and enjoy being in the great farming outdoors.
- Coach pick up points are at both Better Food stores: 94 Whiteladies Road, Clifton, BS8 2QX and Scrapstore House, Sevier Street, St Werburghs, BS2 9LB
- Please note that we’ll be visiting a range of venues – including being outdoors on the farm – so be sure to bring appropriate clothing and shoes.
