
Between Fact and Fiction: Refugee Narratives in Children’s Literature

The Reluctant Internationalists research project will host a one-day inter-disciplinary workshop on the theme of refugee narratives in children’s literature.
The workshop will bring together a number of children’s authors, illustrators, publishers, booksellers and academics to think about the role of children’s literature as a vehicle for refugee stories and voices. The day will comprise of three sessions grouped around the different perspectives of people creating, selling and using children’s books. Throughout, the workshop will consider possible collaborations between academic researchers and fiction writers and illustrators.
