Between Spaces - Short Film Private View
Overview
Project Description:
A video art project that interrogates the modalities of collaboration, the act of entering into a relationship with something, someone, or some time. Through a lens of psychogeography, we examine the architecture of Milton Keynes, using its structures, pathways, and voids as metaphors for human interaction, conversation, and the delicate formation of new connections.
A town designed on grids and systems, Milton Keynes exists in a state of deliberate structure, yet beneath its planned symmetry, there are hidden tensions, contradictions, and moments of spontaneity. Like the act of collaboration itself, its architecture is a dialogue: between control and emergence, order and organic experience.
Both artists are filmmakers from Milton Keynes with a shared passion for enriching the city's cultural arts. Sabre is an architectural photographer and designer with over a decade of experience documenting and shaping the built environment. He will be sharing his insights into how he helps raise awareness of the city's contemporary architectural heritage. Beatrice is a TV director with over 20 years experience, working in the UK and abroad. She'll talk about her approach to visual storytelling and why having previously lived in Dublin, New York and London, the psychogeography in Milton Keynes is worth exploring and getting excited about.
