Bevan Commission Masterclass Series: A Conversation with Prof Don Berwick
Event Information
About this Event
‘Excellence in healthcare depends on the quality of the relationships between patients and families – really listening to what they want and need’. Taken from the book by Anthony M DiGiola and Eve Shapiro entitled: The Patient Centred Value System: Transforming Healthcare Through Co-Design.
Format
We hear a lot about the need to co-produce healthcare by working with people yet how good are we are at doing this in our common practice? How often do we think about what really matters to a patient rather than what’s the matter with the patient?
Join the Bevan Commission as we launch our first Masterclass with Professor Don Berwick who will be exploring how co-production can transform prudent health and care.
This interactive, informal conversation will begin with a short talk by Professor Berwick about the value and impact co-production can have and how everyone in health and care services including clinicians, leaders, academics and patients can improve the use of it in Wales.
This will be followed by discussion and debate with the audience.
