This 2-hour training provides basic sexual health awareness and an introduction to the C-Card scheme for Bexley professionals. It is compulsory training for all those interested in distributing condoms as part of the C-Card scheme in Bexley.
By the end of the session, participants will gain knowledge and understanding of:
- How the C-Card scheme and database works, and how the scheme can benefit the young people you work with
- Confidentiality, Fraser Guidelines and safeguarding
- Different methods of contraception and how they prevent pregnancy
- Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and how to prevent them
- Where to signpost young people looking for sexual health services and/or support.
