Beyond Awareness: Building a Trauma-Informed Future

Over the past 18 months, Royal Devon University Hospitals Trust has been engaged in a trauma-informed project to foster more compassionate and effective support systems. This initiative has focused on the workforce and the individuals who use our services, recognising the importance of creating a supportive environment for everyone involved. This workshop will share insights into the approach taken, the lessons learned, and the practical strategies developed along the way. Through discussion and reflection, participants will explore how trauma-informed principles can improve staff well-being and patient care.
