Beyond Borders International Festival 2022

We are delighted to welcome you back to the Beyond Borders International Festival on 27th and 28th August 2022! Join us for a weekend of panel discussions and debates exploring world cultures and new ideas in the tranquil setting of Traquair House. Whether it's to meet an author, take a guided walk through the grounds, or engage with a host of writers, artists, and diplomats on some of the most pressing issues of our time, there's something for everyone in this year's programme!

BBIF 2022 - what's new this year?

This year, we are using a new ticketing system and have new ticket types available. After introducing the option to reserve seats in the Main Tent at last year’s Festival, we are delighted to offer ticket types that include guaranteed reserved seats in the Main Tent for the whole weekend/day - so no more queuing for your seats! We will also once again livestream Main Tent events in satellite screens in the Clouds Marquee in the Walled Garden and in the Main Tent Box Office - as well as online if you are unable to attend in person.

Group Seating: If you are planning on attending the Festival with family/friends and would like to reserve seats in the Main Tent to be able to sit together please make sure that you book your tickets as a group, on one booking as we are unable to allocate reserved seats together across separate bookings. Booking separately will result in groups being assigned seats apart from each other.
