This year’s conference aims to bring together scholarship that transcends traditional academic frameworks and encourage emerging scholars to adopt a global perspective. We have selected research that looks beyond the traditional boundaries of the discipline, explores the use of art in cross-border experience, and interrogates conflicting notions of memory and subjectivity across visual culture. Through a combination of fifteen-minute papers and roundtable discussions, the proceedings aim to find connections in what makes our studies unique, while challenging conventions within the field of art history. Following the panels, there will be a keynote speech delivered by Dr. Simon Groom of the National Galleries of Scotland. We hope to see you there, in-person or online!
