Event description

Description

What? Full of practical ideas which will explore how working memory works and how to capitalise on this knowledge, we will explore different types of memory and their uses and applications in the classroom. Ross and Debra will share with you successes from their own teaching as well as helping you to understand how this looks in practice.

How? From retrieval practice to the role of emotion, narrative and movement in learning, we will offer ways forward that can be applied in both primary and secondary teaching. These classroom strategies are supported by a wide range of research and evidence with much of the day set aside for practical application. Techniques will allow children to retain information in the long term, to theories about how human beings learn - the proof will be in the pudding.

With 45 years in education between them, this pragmatic and research-rich training day will be led by two highly experienced educators: Dr. Debra Kidd and Ross Morrison McGill.

  • We have priced the training at £99.99. There is a ticket administration fee included (by Eventbrite) and 20% VAT.

  • A light lunch is included in the price.

  • For more details about the programme, visit here.

  • Other locations and dates are available for this event, if you have any questions please contact Sales@TeacherToolkit.co.uk.
