Beyond SMART goals

When setting goals, many people aren’t specific enough in defining what they want. If your goals aren’t clearly defined, it’s hard to know when you have achieved them. If you don’t know where you are going, how will you know if you have arrived? Getting clearly defined goals means that all your plans, actions and intentions are driven by a focal point, keeping you on course.

The most used goal system is SMART goals.

• Specific
• Measured
• Ambitious
• Realistic
• Timescale

And that’s a great starting point. But Realistic goals can hold you back!

When President Kennedy set the goal of putting a man on the moon within a decade in 1961, few people thought that goal realistic but on 20th July 1969 it had been achieved.

In this session we will explore SMART goals, how they can help you get what you want and how you can push beyond Realistic to achieve something Ridiculous and Remarkable.
