What will this session cover?
This session will cover the causes and treatment options for bedwetting for all children. It will include current research evidence as well as NICE guidance. It will include information about how to improve adherence and treatment outcomes using principles of informed choice.
The training will be relevant to all healthcare professionals who work with children and young people in any setting. It will be particularly relevant for those professionals working within children’s bladder and bowel services or enuresis clinics.
Objectives:
- The impact of enuresis on children and their families
- An understanding of the factors that may impact
- First line treatment options
- Management of children whose enuresis is refractory to initial treatment
- Using informed choice to improve treatment adherence and outcomes
Who can attend?
This Bladder & Bowel UK Lunchtime Learning is for healthcare professionals or any other professional who works with children, including but not limited to school nurses, health visitors, community nurses, learning disability nurses, allied healthcare professionals, community paediatricians, GPs and practice nurses.
