Overview

Explore the issue of invasive species, including their relationship to our garden boundaries and the wild, through history and art.

Tu hwnt i’r ffin.
Archwiliwch broblem rhywogaethau ymledol, gan gynnwys eu perthynas â ffiniau ein gerddi a'r gwyllt, trwy hanes a chelf.

During this online talk, project officer Ellen Williams will discuss the history of some plants, how they came to be in the UK, and their connection with gardening. She will then discuss how some of these plants became invasive and the impact they are having today.

Ellen will also discuss the Garden Escapers project's travelling exhibition which took place between April and December. This exhibition was displayed across three locations in North West Wales and sought to raise awareness about the impact of certain plants escaping beyond the boundaries of our gardens into the wild.

Yn ystod y sgwrs ar-lein hon, bydd y swyddog prosiect Ellen Williams yn trafod hanes rhai planhigion, sut daethant i fod yn y DU, a'u cysylltiad â garddio. Wedyn bydd yn trafod sut daeth rhai o'r planhigion yma’n ymledol a'r effaith maen nhw’n ei chael heddiw.

Bydd Ellen hefyd yn trafod arddangosfa deithiol y prosiect Dianc o Gerddi a gynhaliwyd rhwng mis Ebrill a mis Rhagfyr. Cafodd yr arddangosfa ei dangos ar draws tri lleoliad yng Ngogledd Orllewin Cymru ac roedd yn ceisio codi ymwybyddiaeth o effaith rhai planhigion sy’n dianc y tu hwnt i ffiniau ein gerddi ni i'r gwyllt.
