About this event

Join Caitlin in the fabulous Crush Hall at the Pathfoot building on the University of Stirling’s campus for this relaxed workshop, where she shows you how to create beautiful emulsion lifts using simply a Polaroid image and a sheet of watercolour paper.

There will also be an opportunity to create a Polaroid lift yourself, with the option to either print an already existing image from a mobile phone or capture an image on the day using a camera.

All materials and equipment will be provided. If you wish to create one, there will be a small fee on the day to cover material costs. Please arrive at the event with an image you wish to print which can be easily located on your mobile phone’s camera roll.

No experience or prior knowledge is required to participate.

Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

About Caitlin

Caitlin Jardine is a photography student at Glasgow Kelvin College, and a part of Stirling Photography Festival’s creative team.

She enjoys experimenting with different photographic genres, which has led to a rather varied portfolio of work and experiences, including photographing The Scottish Album of the Year Awards in 2024, and documenting streetstyle fashion looks at London Fashion Week.

Most recently, Caitlin has become known for her love of instant film, particularly Polaroid, and experimenting with alternative processes. She enjoys working with lo-fi equipment and alternative techniques to create thought provoking imagery.
