This free one hour session will build on from your legal responsibilities as a Trustee and support you to become an excellent Trustee

    About this event

Every effective trustee needs to understand their legal responsibilities (and we have just the webinar for that). However, being an impactful trustee requires more than understanding the role description. Ensuring compliance is essential but not enough.

This session is for those trustees and aspiring trustees who have a passion to take their charity forward, to grow impact, to leave a personal legacy and feel the sense of personal fulfilment from the time they volunteer.

    The webinar covers:

    • The right questions to ask and when to ask them
    • Common pitfalls for charity boards and how to avoid them
    • Interpreting sector-wide guidelines for the charity’s particular context
    • Managing risk and how to establish an appropriate level of risk
    • Strategy/operations and how to distinguish
    • Your personal legacy

We recommend that you also attend our Onboarding webinar about the legal responsibilities of trustees.

This webinar is free to attend and you have the option to make a donation to Getting on Board upon booking your ticket. The upcoming dates are as follows:

    • Tuesday 14th June, 6-7pm - SOLD OUT
    • Tuesday 11th October, 6-7pm
    • Tuesday, 6th December, 6-7pm

Please choose the date you'd prefer using the dropdown menu to the right and continue with the booking. A Zoom link to join your selected webinar date will be included in your booking confirmation email.

We appreciate that the timing of the webinar might not suit everyone so everyone who registers for the event will receive a link to view the recording to watch in their own time. We'd encourage you to attend the webinar live if you can, as there'll be plenty of opportunity to ask questions relevant to your circumstances.

Getting on Board also runs other online training which may be of interest to you, including sessions on diversity, recruitment and induction. We recommend taking a look around our Eventbrite page to see if our other webinars are of interest. You can also head to our website for more information about everything we offer.

If you have any questions, or would like to discuss bespoke training, please get in touch with us by emailing info@gettingonboard.org.
