Join Francesca, Head of Neurology, for an informative CPD evening focusing on the recognition, diagnosis, and management of epileptic seizures and paroxysmal dyskinesia.

This session will provide practical, clinically relevant guidance to support confident decision-making in first-opinion veterinary practice.

About the Speaker:

Francesca Raimondi DipECVN DVM MRCVS RCVS and EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary Neurology SCVS Head of Neurology

After qualifying from the University of Milan in 2004, Francesca completed a one-year internship in orthopaedic surgery in a referral centre in North of Italy followed by a one-year internship in neurology and neurosurgery in a referral centre in Rome where she worked for 6 years as neurology clinician. In 2013 she moved in the UK to work at SCVS where she completed her residency program in veterinary neurology and neurosurgery and obtained her European Diploma in Veterinary Neurology in 2020.

Since 2013 Francesca has been working as neurologist and neurosurgeon at SCVS and she is now head of neurology and neurosurgery service.

Francesca’s particular interests include cervical spondylomielopathy and lumbosacral diseases, advance spinal and brain neurosurgery including vertebral stabilisation with and without the support of 3D printed guides, lateral corpectomy, foraminotomy, brain surgery and ventriculoperitoneal shunt positioning.

She is interested in mini-invasive brain surgery using the Brainsight stereotactic neuro navigation system.
