This informal, interactive event explores the use of web technology within companies. The event includes presentations from Dr. Keith Mitchell (InfoLab21 academic), Sam Allcock (Custard Media) and Tony Foggett (Code Computerlove). A panel session will follow allowing delegates to quiz the three speakers about their presentations or other areas of interest that have arisen from the event. Delegates will gain an awareness of the opportunities available to build on their existing web presence.

Dr. Keith Mitchell – InfoLab21
Keith is a Research Fellow within the School of Computing and Communications Systems at Lancaster University and Co-founder of 21media innovations ltd, a technology spin-out based in InfoLab21. Keith’s research interests fall broadly into the areas human-computer interaction, context-aware computing and multimedia systems. In recent years, his attention has turned to next generation TV and content centric networks and investigating how knowledge pertaining to user activity can be used to inform personalised delivery of services to the viewer. Sam Allcock – Director, Custard Media
Sam Allcock is co-owner and managing director of Custard Media. Custard Media is an online markeitng agency based in Preston which is growing fast with a client base including ecards.co.uk, 118118.com, viagogo.co.uk, ulsterweavers.com and protouch.co.uk. Sam started his career working for the National Computer Centre in Manchester for five years, learning about Software, Intellectual Property, Disaster Recovery and Vulnerability Testing. For the next five years he worked in house as an online marketing consultant for companies such as Accomodation For Studends, Laptops Direct and Memorybits Ltd. Sam is an online entrepreneur and has set up several successful businesses since leaving the National Computer Centre, such as a virtual PR agency and lead generation business
Tony Foggett – CEO, Code Computerlove
Tony set up Code Computerlove in 1999 which has now grown into a multi-million pound turnover business delivering award winning digital marketing solutions for clients including Matalan, HMV, Waterstone's, NUS, Crown Paints, PZ Cussons, Huggies, Butlins, Durex and First TransPennine Express. The business is now recognised as one of the UK's top full service digital agencies and a leader in its field in the North. Tony is also a board member of Vision + Media, on the council of Manchester Digital, on Manchester Metropolitan University’s School of Art Advisory Board and associated with many other regional bodies spending much of his time touring the North West presenting at seminars and taking part in round table debates. He is also helping the region to nurture up and coming digital talent, tutoring in and working with educational establishments throughout the North West.
