Description

Enjoy an evening with Josh Curnow Britains Got Talent Semi Finalist 2016.

Josh Curnow of Britain's Got Talent, the gravel voiced country, pop, rock singer song writer from Wadebridge, Cornwall, will be performing live at this event!

There will also be a chance to meet Josh, take some selfies, and ask him your questions about Britain's Got Talent and the Music Industry.

In 2016 Britain's Got Talent viewers were left amazed as Josh Curnow, perfumed a stunning rendition of Green Day's hit Basket Case, which he played on the piano.

After introducing himself to the judges, Josh welled up as he confessed his passion for music and admitted he was once told to give up on his dreams. He explained: "At the age of about 13, 14, I was diagnosed as dyslexic and a teacher took me to aside and said: 'You need to stop trying to be a musician and start aiming for working in a superstore doing shelves'."

As Josh began singing it was pretty clear the judges and crowd were impressed, as they cheered him along. Some audience members teared up, while at the end of his performance Josh's girlfriend stood up and applauded him. It wasn't long before other crowd members gave him a standing ovation, with all 4 judges applauding Josh as he walked towards them.

David Walliams told Josh his performance was "great", before saying: "There's something really charming and likeable about you."

Simon Cowell commented: "You've got a fantastic personality. You look great, very charming, and you really have got a great voice. And I'd like to make a point to that teacher that he obviously didn't know what he was talking about."

Josh got 4 yeses from the judges and was through to the next round, telling the judges: "Thank you so so much."

About the Venue

The Pavilion has been the primary civic building in Bentley since it was officially opened on the 28th November 1931 by Mr D MacGregor, Chairman of the Welfare Committee. The original grand opening was postponed due to an explosion at Bentley Colliery on November 20 1931, which resulted in the loss of 45 miner’s lifes.

In partnership with Doncaster Council a successful bid was made to the Heritage Lottery Fund in 2011 for approximately £3million to regenerate the Park and the Pavilion. The regeneration has been completed and has reinstated the lily ponds, band stand, entrances, ornamental gardens, new play areas, Multi Use Games areas, and of the course The Pavilion has been brought back to its former glory ready for the next 50 years.
