BHF Scotland Manifesto Hustings
Event Information
About this Event
We want to beat heartbreak caused by heart disease in Scotland. To do this, we need to improve the detection, diagnosis, treatment and care of people who have developed heart disease in their lifetime.
Heart disease has a profound impact on our health care system, our medical community, and people the length and breadth of the country.
Over the last year BHF Scotland has had conversations with healthcare professionals and people living with heart disease to better understand what some of the key issues are and to identify suggested priorities. We have developed a plan from this engagement for the next Scottish Government to deliver the best possible care for people with heart disease.
The BHF Scotland manifesto will be launched on February 2nd 2021. Join us at a virtual hustings with Scotland's political parties as we call on them to commit to a new heart disease plan for Scotland as the current one is now 6 years old.
We will be joined by Brian Whittle MSP (Scottish Conservative), Carolynn Scrimgeour (Scottish Greens), Monica Lennon MSP (Scottish Labour) and Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP (Scottish Liberal Democrats) to discuss their vision for heart disease care in Scotland beyond the 2021 Holyrood elections. The Scottish National Party have also been invited.
