The idea behind these sessions is all about building community, sharing creative space, and supporting each other along our writing journeys.
While this isn't a guided session, there'll be plenty of poetry books and prompts around if you need a bit of inspiration. Or you can just chat and read some poems, we don't mind, we just want your wonderful self to come join us.
We've been working with Social Refuge to put on a poetry showcase on Saturday 13th September (exciting - eek!). You can grab your £5 ticket through Social Refuge's website to come see what we've been up to (and maybe join in the open mic if you're feeling brave!).
Keep an eye out as well for my BiWrites Workshop taking place from 3-5pm at Social Refuge on Saturday 20th September as part of Bi Awareness Week - tickets for this event are separate as this is a guided workshop, and you can find them through my Eventbrite profile.
As a working class writer I've come up against pay barriers all my life... there is a nominal charge for these sessions, but if this presents a barrier to you please get in touch with me and we'll work something out!
